Chapter 12: The Supreme Yin Sacred Body

Chapter 12: The Supreme Yin Sacred Body

"Ah, husband!"

Startled by the sight, Nan Rou hurriedly pulled back the bed curtain, wrapped herself in the blanket, and rushed off the bed to help Qin Guan to his feet.

Qin Guan quickly shielded Nan Rou behind him, his gaze locked onto the Little Black Pagoda. "What are you doing?"

Thinking back on how he had been diligently concealing their activities from the pagoda's heavenly sight — while he and Nan Rou enjoyed themselves in bed, he had been standing guard for a full two hours — the Little Black Pagoda suddenly shook violently and turned hostile.

"Easy there, buddy! Let's talk this out!" Sensing a terrifying power suddenly radiating from the Little Black Pagoda, Qin Guan quickly pleaded for mercy.

He hadn't expected this damned pagoda to be so powerful. His physical body was extraordinarily tough, yet just now the pagoda had directly injured him!

Seeing Qin Guan back down, the Little Black Pagoda abruptly stopped trembling. In the next instant, it transformed into a streak of dark light and burrowed back into the space between Qin Guan's brows.

Qin Guan's mouth twitched as he cursed inwardly: "What the hell kind of thing is this?!"

With the Little Black Pagoda gone, Nan Rou quickly wiped the blood from the corner of Qin Guan's mouth, her voice full of worry. "Husband, are you alright?"

"I'm fine." Qin Guan shook his head, then carried Nan Rou back to bed.

"That pagoda is supposed to be your treasure — why did it hit you?" Nan Rou couldn't help but ask.

Qin Guan's expression darkened. "I have no idea why it got angry either..."

"Hmm?"

Just as he finished speaking, Qin Guan suddenly sensed a strange energy that had appeared in his lower abdomen.

He quickly examined it and found a fist-sized mass of white vapor.

"What incredible power!"

Feeling the terrifying force contained within that mass of white vapor, Qin Guan was immediately alarmed. He hastily tried to use the Gang Qi within his body to probe it.

The moment his Gang Qi made contact with the white vapor, a ferocious and violent energy instantly raged through his abdomen!

Qin Guan was horrified. He urgently mobilized his Gang Qi to suppress the uncontrollable force rampaging inside him.

"What terrifying power!"

A short while later, the energy subsided. Qin Guan let out a long breath, his heart filled with wariness.

"Where did this white vapor come from?"

Lying on the bed, Qin Guan sank into deep thought.

Could it be that the Little Black Pagoda had suddenly appeared because of this white vapor?

"Husband, are you asleep?"

At that moment, Nan Rou softly called out.

"No. Are you feeling sleepy?"

Hearing her voice, Qin Guan pulled himself out of his thoughts.

"No, husband. I feel a burning heat in my lower abdomen. It's a little uncomfortable." Nan Rou said with a pained expression.

"What's wrong?"

Alarmed, Qin Guan quickly lifted the blanket to check.

"This — how is this possible? The second level of the Qi Refining Stage!"

Qin Guan froze in disbelief, staring at Nan Rou. Her lower abdomen was now surging with an uncontrolled flow of Spiritual Energy.

Although Martial Artists could not gather Spiritual Energy to cultivate, they could still sense the fluctuations of Spiritual Energy in others.

Nan Rou had clearly had not a trace of Cultivation before, yet now she was emanating the aura of the second level of the Qi Refining Stage.

"Husband, my stomach hurts." Nan Rou clutched her lower abdomen, grimacing in pain.

Qin Guan quickly said, "Rou'er, listen to me. Relax your body and mind, hold your breath and concentrate, then try to use your will to control the Spiritual Energy in your abdomen and gather it together..."

Nan Rou immediately did as she was told.

Ten minutes later, the Spiritual Energy in Nan Rou's lower abdomen gradually settled.

"Husband, the pain is gone." Nan Rou rubbed her lower abdomen and said.

"Good." Qin Guan ruffled Nan Rou's hair. "Rou'er, have you ever cultivated before?"

Nan Rou shook her head. "Never."

Qin Guan pondered for a moment, then said, "Rou'er, the pain in your lower abdomen just now was because you now possess the Cultivation of the second level of the Qi Refining Stage, and the Spiritual Energy inside you was running wild without control."

"Ah, how is that possible!"

Nan Rou was astonished. Although she had never cultivated herself, she was well aware of the realms Cultivators passed through.

For the young people of Luyun City to reach the Qi Refining Stage took at least seven or eight years at a minimum. Even her younger sister Nan Qiao, who had exceptional talent, had taken five years. Hearing Qin Guan say she had already reached the second level, she truly could not believe it.

How had this happened? A fist-sized mass of white vapor had inexplicably appeared inside her body, and Nan Rou had suddenly broken through two major levels from having no Cultivation at all, directly becoming a Cultivator of the Qi Refining Stage.

Could it be because of sharing a bed with Nan Rou?

Sharing a bed — dual cultivation?

Qin Guan suddenly recalled something. He seemed to remember his master once mentioning that there existed in this world a rare special constitution in women known as the Supreme Yin Sacred Body.

Women with this constitution were not only extraordinarily gifted themselves — breaking through in Cultivation was as easy as drinking water for them — but if a man were to cultivate together with such a woman through dual cultivation, the man would also gain tremendous benefits, greatly stimulating his body's latent potential.

Thinking of this, Qin Guan suddenly also thought of Nan Qiao. She too had a special constitution — the Yin Spirit Physique.

The Yin Spirit Physique had an extremely high affinity with yin-type forces, giving its bearer an innate advantage when cultivating yin-attribute Cultivation Techniques.

For example, when cultivating ice-element or dark-element Cultivation Techniques, she could absorb and convert the corresponding Spiritual Energy far more rapidly, with a cultivation speed far surpassing that of ordinary people.

"Rou'er, you may be the legendary Supreme Yin Sacred Body. It seems it awakened during our time together earlier." Qin Guan said.

Hearing this, Nan Rou's cheeks flushed crimson. She tilted her head up and asked curiously, "What is the Supreme Yin Sacred Body?"

"It is an extraordinarily rare special constitution. Once awakened, the speed of cultivation is breathtaking. Heights that others might take ten or twenty years to reach, you could achieve in just one or two years."

Nan Rou was thrilled to hear this. Having been too frail to cultivate since childhood, she had always deeply envied her younger sister's ability to do so, and because of that, her father and the elders had always shown more affection toward her sister.

If what Qin Guan said was true, she would work hard to cultivate and grow strong from now on. After all, this was a world where martial strength was supreme. Her husband was so powerful — she had to become strong too, or she would surely become a burden to him in the future.

At that moment, Qin Guan grinned mischievously and added:

"The Supreme Yin Sacred Body is not only a prodigy in its own right — it also brings great benefits to its partner. Each time they are together, the man's Cultivation growth is greatly amplified, and his latent potential is stimulated as well. The greater the man's potential, the greater the benefit."

Hearing this, Nan Rou's cheeks burned hot. She said shyly, "Husband, are you wanting to again? If you haven't had your fill, we... we can continue."

"No, no — everything I just said was true. Don't misunderstand!" Qin Guan said, half-laughing and half-exasperated.

"No, I am your wife. It is only right that I take good care of my husband." Nan Rou shook her head, and then suddenly leaned over and kissed Qin Guan on the cheek.

Stirred by Nan Rou's teasing, Qin Guan's blood surged, and he pulled her into his arms as the two of them began their world of two once more.

Time passed, and eventually the two called a truce.

"Rou'er, you really are the Supreme Yin Sacred Body!"

After a careful examination, Qin Guan found that the fist-sized mass of white vapor in his lower abdomen had grown slightly compared to before. Though the increase was not dramatic, Qin Guan could clearly sense it.

Not only that, but Nan Rou's Cultivation had also advanced by a small step, breaking through to the third level of the Qi Refining Stage. When others broke through, there was always some kind of commotion, yet Nan Rou's breakthrough was utterly silent — truly as simple and ordinary as drinking water.

"Whatever constitution it may be, as long as husband is happy, that's all that matters." Nan Rou said, nestling against Qin Guan.

Seeing how exhausted Nan Rou was from all the exertion, Qin Guan felt a pang of guilt.

He was a Martial Artist of the eighth gate — tough and enduring. Nan Rou was only a fledgling Cultivator of the Qi Refining Stage, and on top of that, her Cold Poison had only just been cured and her body was still weak. He had been so caught up in his own excitement that he hadn't considered her at all. He truly was a beast!

Thinking this, Qin Guan quickly tucked the blanket around Nan Rou and pulled her into his arms. "It's getting late. Go to sleep."

"Alright!" Nan Rou nodded, and soon fell asleep nestled in Qin Guan's embrace.

Qin Guan, however, had not a trace of sleepiness. The Little Black Pagoda's sudden appearance was very likely connected to the mass of white vapor inside his body.

"It seems I'll need to find a place tomorrow to study this properly." Recalling the consequences of using his Gang Qi to stimulate the white vapor earlier, Qin Guan dared not touch it again.

* * *

The next morning, Qin Guan rose very early. The restorative prescription he had prepared for Nan Rou had been delayed by the wedding and had yet to be brewed, so he got up at the crack of dawn to prepare it.

When Nan Rou opened her eyes, a maidservant brought over a bowl of medicinal broth. "First Young Miss, this is the tonic the young master-in-law brewed for you. He asked that you drink it as soon as you wake up, to replenish your strength."

Hearing the words "replenish your strength," Nan Rou's cheeks instantly turned red. She took the broth and asked, "Where is my husband?"

"The young master-in-law has gone to the cultivation chamber to cultivate," the maidservant replied.

* * *

At that moment, inside one of the Nan Family's cultivation chambers, Qin Guan stood perfectly still with his eyes tightly shut. He had been standing there for over two hours.

His brow was deeply furrowed. On his right fist, a faint crimson Gang Qi pulsed in and out, and if one looked closely, fine threads of white vapor were interwoven within it.

The white vapor seemed to resist control, constantly darting about in all directions, trying to break free from the Gang Qi's restraint.

Another two hours passed. The deep furrow in Qin Guan's brow gradually eased. The white vapor that had been darting wildly around his fist suddenly seemed to be drawn by some force, and all of it surged into the center of his palm.

In the next instant, he snapped his eyes open and threw a punch into the air before him.

In a moment, from the tip of his fist, a violent force erupted like a volcanic explosion, tearing a crimson wave of energy through the air ahead of him.

Boom!

A terrifying explosion rang out. In the next instant, the entire cultivation chamber, unable to withstand the force, collapsed in an instant. At the same time, the entire Nan Family estate shook as if struck by an earthquake, every building trembling violently.

Almost simultaneously, everyone came running out of their rooms, looking at one another in bewilderment, not knowing what had happened.

Nan Yunqi, who arrived first, stood not far from the ruins of the cultivation chamber. When he saw it reduced to rubble, he was completely dumbstruck. What on earth had happened?

Soon, the rest of the Nan Family members came rushing over as well.

When they saw the cultivation chamber reduced to a pile of ruins, they all stood there in stunned silence.

Then, a figure leaped out from the wreckage.

It was Qin Guan!

"Ha ha, ha ha ha!"

Qin Guan threw his head back and laughed — a wild, uninhibited laugh. As if he hadn't noticed the crowd at all, he walked past them, still laughing.

Nan Yunqi's expression gradually darkened, his features twisting with rage. The cultivation chamber that had taken the effort of several generations to build had been destroyed by Qin Guan!

Without the cultivation chamber, the Nan Family was finished!

"You little brat, give me back my cultivation chamber!"

Nan Yunqi suddenly snapped. Like a maddened wolf, he charged at Qin Guan at full speed, nearly out of his mind with fury. He raised his palm and slammed it toward Qin Guan's back.

Hmm?

Qin Guan, who had been quietly reveling in his excitement, suddenly frowned. In the next instant, he turned around and extended a single finger.

Boom!

Finger met palm. In a moment, a fierce blast of Gang Qi erupted between them, sending Nan Yunqi's long hair flying in disarray. He was completely undone.

He had been stopped dead in his tracks by a single finger from Qin Guan!

The onlookers were equally stunned. Their family head couldn't even overcome a single finger from Qin Guan?

"Father-in-law, what are you doing?" Realizing it was Nan Yunqi, Qin Guan was somewhat annoyed. This father-in-law of his had actually dared to sneak-attack him from behind.

Good thing he hadn't used full force — if he had killed Nan Yunqi, that would have been a serious problem!

Nan Yunqi felt like crying. In that moment, he suddenly had the urge to weep. This destructive maniac had the audacity to play the victim and turn the tables on him...

"Father, why did you strike my husband?"

Nan Rou came running over from a short distance away, carrying a food basket. She had spotted her father sneaking up on Qin Guan from afar and had rushed over in alarm.
