Chapter 6: A Generous Gift

"Mm." Qin Ruo nodded.

"Wow, Landlord, you're too good to me!" Xia Fei Xuan ate this meal very satisfactorily. After the landlord solved her job problem, she had no more worries about the future.

She started seeing the landlord in an even better light, but unfortunately, this favorable impression didn't last long.

Qin Ruo's chopsticks fell to the ground. Xia Fei Xuan muttered something about a pig under her breath, but the result was him lying on the floor for five minutes without getting up.

The stunning Xia beauty looked down in confusion and discovered Qin Ruo's lecherous eyes fixed on her black panties, with drool dripping onto the floor.

The outcome was predictable.

"I'm going to kill you!" A scream exceeding 120 decibels rang out, instantly filling the room with the sounds of pots, bowls, and pans being smashed chaotically.

The furious Xia Fei Xuan grabbed a kitchen knife and nearly hacked Qin Ruo to pieces, unleashing combat prowess that even boxing king Tyson couldn't match.

Qin Ruo fled in panic, utterly unable to fight back, while shouting from his mouth, "Auntie, please don't, don't break the pots and bowls! We still need to go to the supermarket to buy new ones tomorrow!"

"Get lost! I'm going to kill you, you damn pervert!"

They quarreled and cursed, but the next day under bright sunshine, Xia Fei Xuan still obediently followed Qin Ruo around the area looking for shops. Since she had chosen to open a restaurant, location was crucial.

They checked quite a few places—either the owners refused to transfer, or the prices were too high.

Finally, they found a restaurant urgently needing to be transferred. The location was great, at a traffic intersection with a university right behind it. The area was about two hundred square meters, with a transfer fee of over four hundred thousand.

Xia Fei Xuan thought the landlord would regretfully refuse, but unexpectedly, after the landlord boldly paid, she realized this was all real.

The landlord was just too rich!

"Any news on that young man I asked about?" the elder asked.

"Reporting to sir, the young man you mentioned is named Qin Ruo. He just returned from overseas. Recently, he opened a restaurant called Yanlai Ke."

Hearing his subordinate's report, Liu An was shocked speechless, asking three times in a row, "You're not messing with me, are you? Qin Ruo actually went to open a restaurant?"

"Absolutely true!" A man holding files said somewhat curiously. The others also showed puzzled expressions.

Qin Ruo's name had been popping up frequently from the elder's mouth lately. Every bit of news about him seemed to rattle the elder's nerves, which these young members found extremely unusual.

The next morning, with the renovation complete, the restaurant hung up its new signboard: Yanlai Ke Restaurant. The name carried a touch of elegant transcendence.

Qin Ruo had no friends in this city, let alone relatives. As for Xia Fei Xuan, she wasn't local either. So the grand opening of this huge restaurant surprisingly had no gift-bearing guests.

The two didn't mind at all.

Just then, a delivery guy on an electric scooter pulled up to the restaurant door and shouted, "Boss, you've got a package!"
