Chapter 25: The Godlike Marksman

Chapter 25: The Godlike Marksman

“Lie down in the hospital!” the captain said coldly.

“Heh, fine by me. But I have a condition. If I win, you must let these students handle guns. Modern university students are still foolishly marching in formation and talking about willpower training. Don’t you think that’s ridiculous?” Qin Ruo countered.

Hearing Qin Ruo’s words, the students of Class Three immediately burst into applause, with some male students shouting, “Well said!”

“Exactly! Junior high military training was like this, high school was the same, and now university is just a copy of before. What’s the point?”

“Yeah, exactly!”

“Kid, you’re trying to challenge my dignity!” The captain was completely enraged, his face darkening alarmingly, his gaze toward Qin Ruo filled with intense anger.

“Heh, let’s not waste words. Let’s begin!” Qin Ruo maintained his usual laid-back demeanor. To him, a captain who had never even taken a life was not worth his attention, nor did he have any reason to care. His only thought was to crush him.

The captain sneered and charged forward, throwing a fierce punch at Qin Ruo’s cheek.

Qin Ruo dodged effortlessly. The captain faltered for a moment before launching a whirlwind kick at Qin Ruo’s legs. Quick as lightning, Qin Ruo stepped directly on the captain’s ankle.

Boom!

Like a thunderstrike, the captain’s face was painted with shock. He swallowed hard, unable to believe someone could step on his whirlwind kick. Looking at the student before him again, his expression now carried a hint of fear.

Qin Ruo slowly released his foot, looking at the captain with disappointment, ready to stop fighting.

Just then, the captain roared and attacked again, unleashing a series of military combination punches. Techniques he usually wielded with ease were utterly useless today, easily countered by the student before him.

“So weak!” Qin Ruo commented honestly, delivering a kick straight to the captain’s chest. The captain flew backward, crashing hard onto the lawn.

“Well done!”

“Impressive!”

The students of Class Three were beyond excited, looking at Qin Ruo as if he were a hero. The girls’ eyes sparkled with admiration, thinking, ‘This guy is so handsome. I wonder if he has a girlfriend. If I could be his girlfriend, I’d feel so safe.’

Dai Keni, standing nearby, glanced at Qin Ruo, a trace of surprise on her delicate face. She smiled but said nothing.

The captain lay on the ground, assisted by a regular instructor nearby. He glared at Qin Ruo with unwillingness, but upon meeting Qin Ruo’s gaze, he restrained himself from speaking.

“Instructor, can we do target practice now?”

“Yeah, you lost, so you have to keep your promise,” the students chimed in.

The captain snorted and said, “I’ll allow you to do target practice, but if anyone’s results are subpar, don’t blame me for being harsh!”

“No problem. Target practice is as easy as popping balloons, right?”

“Exactly!”

Under the captain’s forced smile, the students of Class Three walked to a shooting range amidst the envious gazes of other university students. The class was divided into four groups, with four people shooting at a time.

The university students, seeing real guns for the first time, were eager to try. Only Qin Ruo stood lazily to the side, showing no interest. Watching these curious kids, the glaring sunlight made him increasingly drowsy.

“Before we start, let me introduce a commonly used rifle in our military. What you see here is the Type 95 rifle. It performs well, not inferior to excellent foreign firearms. It’s highly adapted to our national conditions, equipped with a scope for high precision and a large magazine capacity,” the captain began explaining to the students, speaking confidently.

The students nodded, and Dai Keni listened with interest. Only Qin Ruo, eyes half-closed and yawning, said lazily, “But this rifle has loud noise and strong recoil.”

Qin Ruo’s voice wasn’t loud, but it was just enough for all of Class Three to hear. The captain, Li Delei, who was in the middle of educating the students, whipped his head around, glaring at Qin Ruo with lingering anger in his eyes.

“Where did you learn about the flaws of this assault rifle? Not from the internet, right?” By the end, Li Delei’s lips curled into a sneer. He despised armchair theorists, conveniently forgetting how he had been thoroughly defeated by Qin Ruo earlier.

Qin Ruo chuckled, too lazy to explain.

“Students, let’s continue. First, get a feel for the gun. We’ll soon start with blank firing!” the captain announced.

The students of Class Three erupted in cheers, thrilled to finally handle guns. Many male students, touching a gun for the first time, couldn’t contain their excitement, barely able to hold it steady. Soon, shooting began. Out of over fifty students, half missed the target entirely, a dozen hit outside the third or fourth ring, and only a couple managed to hit the fifth ring.

The students put down their guns in disappointment, frustrated. They hadn’t expected guns to be so hard to control.

Seeing this, the captain smirked, “Since everyone’s results are out, I’m sorry to say, none of you passed. In fact, your performance is abysmal! So, I’ve decided on physical punishment. Later, you’ll run twenty laps around the field. Boys will do a thousand push-ups, and girls will do five hundred sit-ups!”

As soon as he finished, the entire class groaned in despair.

“Ah! No way, that’s too much!”

“This is awful. It’s our first time; how could we possibly do well?” The students were indignant but didn’t dare protest too loudly.

“Teacher Dai, please plead for us!” The girls turned their pitiful gazes to Dai Keni, and seeing their expressions, she softened.

Dai Keni approached the captain and said, “Instructor, could you lighten the punishment? A thousand push-ups and five hundred sit-ups are too much. With the physical condition of our class, they can’t handle it.”

The captain shook his head sternly and refused, saying coldly, “They agreed to this themselves. I warned them beforehand.”

Qin Ruo walked over, picked up a gun from the table, and casually examined it. “If I hit a perfect ten-ring shot, can their punishment be waived?”

“You?” The captain’s eyes flashed with disdain, but mindful of Qin Ruo’s earlier strength, he didn’t underestimate him. “One ten-ring shot isn’t enough. You need at least five shots, all fifty rings!”

Many students turned their attention to Qin Ruo, once again hoping this guy would pull off a miracle.

“Heh, no problem at all,” Qin Ruo said.

“Heh, then I’ll be watching closely!” the captain sneered.

Qin Ruo loaded the gun, holding the assault rifle with one hand, his eyes half-squinted. At this moment, he looked incredibly cool, drawing the attention of students from other classes nearby.

“Look, that guy’s using a pose straight out of a TV show to shoot!”

“Isn’t he just showing off?”

“Maybe not. He might actually be good.”

Captain Li Delei watched Qin Ruo, a sense of unease creeping up. He had only seen this gun-holding stance among elite special forces operatives. Those people were marksmen honed by firing tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of bullets.

Could this guy be a special forces soldier?

No way, am I really this unlucky?

Li Delei felt uncertain. Special forces soldiers were the sharpest blades in the military, all-around talents.

Soon, Qin Ruo finished aiming. With his half-squinted eyes, he resembled a hawk about to strike. He gently pulled the trigger, and a bullet shot out, striking the bullseye of a target a hundred meters away.

“Hit! Ten rings!”

Qin Ruo effortlessly scored a perfect shot, and the crowd erupted in cheers. But it wasn’t over yet.

A faint smile appeared on Qin Ruo’s lips, as if to say this was just the beginning. Maintaining his pose, he fired again, his finger lightly pulling the trigger nine more times in succession!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

All the bullets landed in the bullseye. The crowd was stunned, gasps echoing around them.

Even the instructors watching from the sidelines were dumbfounded, let alone the students who couldn’t even hit the target.

“My God, this expert is terrifying!”

“Holding an assault rifle with one hand and hitting the bullseye ten times from a hundred meters away!”

“There are always people beyond people, and heavens beyond heavens!”

“So cool, so cool!”

Qin Ruo casually tossed the gun aside, inwardly lamenting, ‘Sigh, my trigger speed is still too slow. Old Eagle from the mercenary group was at least 1.68 seconds faster than me.’

Qin Ruo chuckled and turned to the dumbfounded Li Delei, saying, “Instructor, does my marksmanship meet your standards?”

“It does, it does…” Li Delei was so shocked he could barely speak. He had never seen such a terrifying expert. It was simply too frightening!

No wonder he had seemed so laid-back earlier. This guy was a true master, the real deal. He had defeated him in moments, and even his gun-holding stance was incredibly impressive. Yet, Li Delei had foolishly provoked him.

“I’ll leave Class Three in your hands. I’m truly sorry for not recognizing your greatness earlier. Please forgive me!” At this moment, Captain Li Delei was utterly respectful.

While military personnel could be stubborn, they were easily won over by the strong. Clearly, Qin Ruo had won him over.

They only respected those stronger than themselves, especially someone like Qin Ruo, whose strength seemed boundless.

Qin Ruo glanced at Dai Keni, who rarely acted coy as she said to him, “Little Brother Qin Ruo, help me manage the students, okay? I’ll treat you to dinner tonight, how about that?”

Hearing Dai Keni’s words, Qin Ruo could only nod. Dai Keni walked to his side and addressed the students below, “Everyone, this is a friend of mine. You can call him Big Brother Qin.”

“Haha, Teacher Dai, is he your boyfriend?”

“Your boyfriend is so handsome and badass!”

The students spoke without restraint, causing Dai Keni’s face to flush slightly. Qin Ruo coughed twice and said, “Let’s not talk about that. This is my first time leading students, especially university students like you. Basic military training is necessary, but students who perform well will have the chance to handle guns, and I can even teach you combat techniques. Let’s start with physical training. Everyone, run ten laps around the field!”

Hearing Qin Ruo’s words, the students of Class Three were ignited with burning determination. Soon, an astonishing sight appeared on the school field.
