Chapter 11: The One Who Did It Was Ruthless

Chapter 11: The One Who Did It Was Ruthless

'Liu Fei, what happened?' Lin Yan'er turned around while walking forward, looking at Liu Fei.

Liu Fei, who was being pestered by the tattooed guy's cousin, smiled bitterly: 'Officer Lin, this kid is my cousin.'

Lin Yan'er nodded, her gaze falling on the few people lying on the ground like dead dogs. Her beautiful eyes suddenly turned cold—the one who struck was truly ruthless.

With a criminal police officer's eye, she could tell at a glance that each of these people had varying degrees of disabilities. Even if treated, it would cost a hefty price.

'Who did the beating? Come out!' Lin Yan'er said to the many customers in the restaurant.

'It was a chef,' one customer said.

Soon, Qin Ruo strolled over leisurely with a pot in hand, curiously eyeing the policewoman in front of him. His eyes widened instantly: 'Beautiful police flower!'

Lin Yan'er instinctively showed a trace of displeasure and said coldly, 'Did you beat these people?'

'Yeah, they were beating my customers and trying to take advantage of my staff, disrupting my business,' Qin Ruo said nonchalantly.

'You're now suspected of intentional assault. Come with us to the police station,' Lin Yan'er said.

Binhai City Public Security Bureau, Interrogation Room!

In the dim room, Qin Ruo sat with his hands cuffed. Opposite him was the beautiful criminal police officer, with several tall, burly policemen standing behind her, occasionally casting cold glances at Qin Ruo.

'Why did you hit them!' the beautiful criminal police officer asked.

'They were freely beating my customers in my shop and trying to molest my staff,' Qin Ruo said calmly.

'Why didn't you call the police?' A hint of displeasure flashed in the beautiful criminal police officer's eyes as she asked.

Qin Ruo smiled and said, 'I don't like relying on others, including the police.'

His words reeked of pretentiousness. The male officers behind immediately said, 'Kid, this is the police station. Go act cool outside, or you won't know how you die.'

Lin Yan'er, however, looked at Qin Ruo with some surprise. This suspect was far too calm, as if she were the one being interrogated. Shaking off the strange illusion in her mind, Lin Yan'er said, 'Name?'

'Qin Ruo.'

'Ethnicity?'

'Han.'

'Gender?'

'As a man loved by all, blooming flowers and bursting tires on passing cars, the universe's invincible super handsome guy, beautiful, I question your eyesight,' Qin Ruo rattled off a long string of words.

'This is the police station. Be serious!' Lin Yan'er didn't buy it at all, maintaining a strictly businesslike demeanor.

'Gender?'

'Male!'

'Age!'

'Twenty-five, two months shy of twenty-six. Beautiful, wanna come to my birthday party?' Qin Ruo showed his humorous side again.

'Be serious!' Lin Yan'er stood up abruptly and slammed the table hard. The policemen behind were already glaring murderously at Qin Ruo.

At that moment, a man suddenly walked in from outside the interrogation room. Lin Yan'er asked, 'Have you checked his background?'

'Reporting to Officer Lin, his records are completely blank. The police system has no information on this person at all,' the man said strangely.

'What?' Not only was Lin Yan'er shocked, but the male officers nearby also looked incredulous. Only Qin Ruo, sitting in the chair, had a faint smile tugging at his lips.

It would be strange if these little cops could access his information.

'What are you smiling at?' Lin Yan'er turned her gaze to Qin Ruo, noticing his smile, and couldn't help but get angry. She was handling a simple case, yet couldn't even pull up the suspect's background.

How infuriating!

'Just found it funny. Oh right, my restaurant is still open, customers are waiting to eat. I'll compensate for the beating, but I don't have time to play with you now,' Qin Ruo said, suddenly standing up.

Seeing this, all the police in the interrogation room tensed up. The atmosphere grew oppressively heavy, and with the dim lighting, it felt like swords were drawn.

Lin Yan'er immediately drew her gun, pointing it at Qin Ruo's head.

'As a citizen of China, you're suspected of intentional injury and have been detained by the criminal police. The forensic expert confirmed that those you hurt have varying degrees of disabilities all over their bodies. You're under criminal detention! If you resist, you'll go to prison! Think it over carefully,' Lin Yan'er said coldly.

Qin Ruo smiled, not even glancing at the gun but locking eyes with Lin Yan'er's beautiful ones. 'Who's your bureau chief?'

'Kid, you're really annoying!' One policeman stepped forward, swinging a fist at Qin Ruo's face to teach this arrogant punk a lesson.

Qin Ruo sneered, fixing his gaze on the policeman. A terrifying killing intent shot from his eyes, instantly piercing through the cop's convictions. The raised fist hung there, unable to fall.

'Our bureau chief is Zhang Tiejun!' Lin Yan'er frowned but still said it.

Qin Ruo smiled faintly. 'Call your bureau chief over.'
