Chapter 10: In more ways than one

Chapter 10: In more ways than one

The tattooed man turned his head and saw a chef walking over. He couldn't help but sneer a few times, looking at him with contempt as he said, "Do you fucking know who I am? Call the cops? The police station is my fucking home!"

Hearing this arrogant voice, the faces of those students turned even paler. Standing beside Qin Ruo, Xia Fei Xuan gritted her silver teeth. The tattooed man inadvertently caught sight of Xia Fei Xuan, and his eyes instantly turned green with lust.

The next second, he swallowed hard and tried to hit on her, "Hey beautiful, I'm Liu Dalong. Can I get your phone number?"

"My number is 911." With this powerful landlord here, Xia Fei Xuan wasn't afraid of this fatso at all.

"Fuck, you dare toy with me? You're asking for death!" The tattooed man was furious. As he spoke, he reached out to grab Xia Fei Xuan, his target clearly her ample chest.

"Landlord, save me!" Xia Fei Xuan shouted.

Just as Xia Fei Xuan finished shouting, the tattooed man was already sent flying, crashing to the ground outside the door like a dead dog.

Qin Ruo had his hands in his pockets, looking disdainfully at the tattooed man who had eaten dirt. He said indifferently, "Why bother? We could've just talked it out nicely. Why did you have to resort to violence?"

The whole place fell silent. No one had expected this chef to be so freakishly strong, kicking away a 1.8-meter-tall tattooed thug with one foot.

The tattooed man struggled to climb up from the ground, his mouth full of dirt and grime. He glared viciously at Qin Ruo, his face twisted in rage as he roared at his surrounding underlings, "Beat him to death!"

"Yes, boss!"

Several underlings charged over menacingly, grabbing stools or iron rods as weapons.

The scene instantly erupted into chaos. The diners at the back stopped eating in fright and hid in safer spots to watch. Seeing this, a sharp, tangible killing intent flashed in Qin Ruo's eyes.

"I don't hate people like you—your existence has its reasons. But you provoked me and beat my customers. That's something I can't tolerate!" As Qin Ruo spoke, his fist smashed ruthlessly into one man's face.

With a crisp crack, the man's nasal bone shattered instantly. Blood gushed as he collapsed to the ground, passing out without even a groan.

"You even bullied my staff, my tenant—she might be my future wife! That's intolerable!" Qin Ruo suddenly lifted his foot, swinging it like a straight battle axe that slammed into another man's cheek.

BOOM!

The man's face was smashed as if by an axe. He spun in place a dozen times before collapsing straight to the ground, unconscious.

In no time, all five or six underlings were effortlessly taken down by Qin Ruo. The whole process was a breeze for him.

Qin Ruo clapped his hands and bowed slightly to the stunned customers behind him. "My deepest apologies for startling you all. I guarantee this won't happen again, and everyone's meals today are on the house!"

Hearing Qin Ruo's words, all the customers cheered excitedly. It was simply unbelievable—a chef beating down thugs like an adult bullying kids. Too badass!

Xia Fei Xuan tugged at Qin Ruo's shoulder and whispered, "Landlord, you're amazing!"

Qin Ruo grinned cheekily. "Your landlord is impressive in more ways than one!"

"Hmph, smooth talker!"

Standing outside the door, the tattooed man was dumbfounded. Seeing his underlings lying on the ground like dead dogs, he sucked in a cold breath, a chill running from his soles straight to his scalp.

But in the next moment, he revealed a sinister sneer and said to Qin Ruo, "Kid, I've already called the cops. You intentionally hurt people, and I recorded it all on my phone. No matter how tough you are, try that at the police station!"

Qin Ruo ignored him and went back to the kitchen to get busy. The tattooed man sneered and waited smugly in place. He had a cousin who was a cop at the station, already on the way with backup.

Sure enough, ten minutes later, three or four police cars pulled up outside Yanlai Ke Restaurant.

The first to step out was a policewoman with a fiery figure. Remarkably, she wasn't in uniform. Her long, straight legs were hugged tightly by black skinny pants, forming an arc that would make any normal man's blood boil.

And her upper body—her proud bust strained against a black leather tight top, practically bursting out. No man would doubt that if the zipper was budget-made in some backwater factory, those two firm mounds would explode right through it.

Lin Yan'er was in a foul mood today. As a criminal police officer, she'd underperformed in her last case and got demoted to regular patrol by that damn chief.

Though she still held her detective title, having a proper cop handle street fights left Lin Yan'er thoroughly depressed.

Today was her day off. Spotting a few squad cars speeding by, her nosy nature kicked in, and she flagged one down to tag along.

"Police on duty!" Lin Yan'er strode into the restaurant and immediately flashed her badge.

Behind her, seven or eight officers followed. The tattooed man rushed to one cop's side, wailing dramatically, "Cousin, cousin, you gotta stand up for me!"
