Chapter 009: Switching the Exam Paper
Although Li Haidong had a big brother backing him up, if he caused major trouble that wasn't for the organization's sake, his big brother would be displeased when he found out.
However, very soon, seeing Lin Feng's clear yet sharp gaze—not at all like someone who'd been beaten senseless—Li Haidong felt an ominous premonition rising in his heart.
Although Lin Feng had learned Iron Shirt, his own combat ability was basically zero, and his inner energy was even more nonexistent. So Li Haidong's brick still caused Lin Feng to feel a bit of pain. To teach Li Haidong and his crew a deeper lesson, Lin Feng bent down to pick up a broken brick, gripped it in his hand, and viciously struck at Li Haidong.
Because Lin Feng remained calm and composed when fighting, even bare-handed he could collapse a skinny guy's nose bridge—let alone when wielding a brick.
Every time Li Haidong tried to block, he felt pain penetrating deep into his bones. After blocking haphazardly a few times, when Lin Feng smashed a brick against his ear, Li Haidong finally couldn't take it anymore.
"Boss, I submit! I submit to you!" Li Haidong retreated several steps and dropped to his knees, kowtowing repeatedly to beg for mercy. His ear was a bloody mess.
The other thugs looked at each other, every one of them trembling with fear.
"What are you all standing around for? Why aren't you kneeling?" Li Haidong, deeply afraid that these thugs would provoke Lin Feng's anger, hastily shouted at them.
Since even someone like Li Haidong had knelt down, these thugs didn't bother considering face and quickly knelt obediently in a row beside Li Haidong.
A group of thugs kneeling before a student—the scene was quite shocking.
"Boss, I didn't realize who I was dealing with. I'm a fool! Please, spare me!" Li Haidong said.
Kneeling on the ground, Li Haidong's body trembled continuously. Besides his ear and cheek being a bloody mess, several spots on his shirt were also seeping blood.
Lin Feng knew that Li Haidong had been thoroughly beaten into submission.
Even a cornered dog will jump over a wall—Lin Feng didn't want to form a blood feud with Li Haidong. Besides, he hadn't suffered any loss in today's fight. As long as Li Haidong and his crew wouldn't come looking for him from now on, that was enough. With a cold snort, Lin Feng tossed away the brick in his hand and said, "Today's matter ends here. If there's a next time, don't blame me for being ruthless."
The skinny guy was the only one who hadn't knelt.
After Lin Feng left, the skinny guy still stood there stupidly, his expression somewhat dazed.
"Brother Dong..." The skinny guy turned to look at Li Haidong. "Why did you kneel to him?"
Slap!
Li Haidong delivered a heavy slap across the skinny guy's face and angrily rebuked, "You almost got me killed... Ow... You better stay away from me from now on."
Speaking pulled at the wound on his face. Li Haidong let out a wail, covered his cheek, and limped away.
In the distance—
A stunningly beautiful female security guard wearing a Qinglan Middle School security uniform discreetly watched everything that happened in the alley. Her beautiful, cold face showed a slightly grave expression.
Iron Shirt? Golden Bell Shield? Given his delicate skin, it shouldn't be those.
Could it be Kung Fu?
After a moment, the gorgeous female security guard pulled out a cigarette-box-sized notebook from her pocket and wrote down Lin Feng's name, followed by two question marks.
Lin Feng??

To facilitate teacher discussions, all teachers of each grade and subject shared one large office.
The third-year grade had over twenty classes, and more than ten math teachers all came to the office because Thunder Tiger, the head of the third-year grade group, wanted to hold another meeting about today's math test.
Actually, today's test had been scheduled long ago, so further discussion was rather redundant.
Around nine o'clock, Thunder Tiger walked into the office carrying a teacup and sticking out his belly. He scanned the other math teachers and casually said, "Everyone, I have a new idea about this test."
"Teacher Lei, let's hear it."
"Actually, it's not really a new idea. I just want to switch the test paper." At this point, Thunder Tiger paused and continued, "According to the plan, the test paper we're using covers comprehensive knowledge from first and second year. But I believe that the first test of third year must achieve its proper effect. The current paper has a low difficulty coefficient for our school's students. If we let them score excellent results, it's easy for them to develop complacent attitudes."
"It's just an ordinary test. Isn't that going too far?" One math teacher raised a different opinion.
"It's third year now, the final year. We need to sound the alarm! My idea is to use a Triple-A exam paper for the test to give the students some pressure."
"Teacher Lei, that's not quite appropriate, is it?" An older, more senior teacher objected. "Triple-A papers are near-competition exam papers with extremely high difficulty coefficients. If we make students take this on their very first test of third year, it could very likely cause them enormous psychological pressure."
Thunder Tiger's old face reddened, feeling somewhat guilty.
What this teacher said made sense. Triple-A papers shouldn't be used for regular tests at all—they were only brought out when selecting competition seeds.
However, Thunder Tiger had his selfish motives.
After making that bet with Lin Feng in the classroom yesterday, Thunder Tiger thought it over repeatedly and always felt uneasy. He figured that since Lin Feng was so confident, perhaps he really had prepared. Besides, Lin Feng sometimes scored sixty or seventy points on regular exams. What if he performed exceptionally well and actually passed?
Thunder Tiger didn't want Lin Feng to remain in the class. As long as Lin Feng dropped out, both the class's average test scores and college entrance exam admission rate would see a leap forward.
To completely rid himself of Lin Feng, this poor student, Thunder Tiger had come up with the idea of switching the test paper at the last minute.
After coughing, Thunder Tiger said, "You can't put it that way. Pressure creates motivation! I brought some test papers. Take a look!"
"Teacher Lei, did you make a mistake? Why does this have third-year knowledge points?"
"That's right. This should be a paper that can only be taken after completing the third-year curriculum, right?"
"Teacher Lei, with this level of difficulty, forget ordinary students—even math prodigies couldn't possibly get a passing score, right?"
"Anyway, there are plenty of testing opportunities in third year. We can give it a try—who knows, we might achieve miraculous results." Thunder Tiger had already made up his mind and didn't hesitate to pull rank as the grade group leader. "We'll use this paper for the test. If it does have a negative impact on students afterward, we can come out and explain—just say we took the wrong paper."
Seeing Thunder Tiger insist repeatedly, the other teachers could only yield.
After successfully switching the test paper, Thunder Tiger felt as if he'd swallowed a reassurance pill. He believed that with this paper's difficulty level, no one should be able to pass.
Carrying the test papers to the classroom, Thunder Tiger was in an exceptionally good mood. Even when looking at Lin Feng, he didn't find him quite so irritating.
Thinking it over carefully, although this Lin Feng was an out-and-out poor student, he simply didn't love studying. He'd never skipped class or been late, and never gotten into fights or caused trouble.
Lin Feng had been in this class for two years, and tomorrow he would be saying goodbye early. Thunder Tiger's heart actually gave birth to a trace of teacher-student affection.
However, thinking of how Lin Feng's mother had threatened him with harsh words, and how Lin Feng had openly defied him in the classroom, Thunder Tiger immediately cast that trace of teacher-student affection to the back of his mind.
