Chapter 027: The Unkillable Lin Feng

Chapter 027: The Unkillable Lin Feng

Lin Feng put away the manual and did not go home.

Ever since he made an enemy of Wang Jun, there was no way this matter could be resolved peacefully — let alone the fact that Wang Jun had been forced to jump from a window at Tianhe City Foot Spa tonight and broken his leg in the fall.

As long as the situation remained unresolved, Lin Feng would be in constant danger. He had already made up his mind: once he finished learning the Iron Shirt technique and gained greater physical defense, he would wipe out the Heavenly Wolf Gang.

To capture bandits, first capture their king. If he could get his hands on the Heavenly Wolf Gang's boss, Duan Tianlang, dismantling the gang would be twice as easy with half the effort.

Lin Feng reasoned that since Tianhe City Foot Spa was an asset of the Heavenly Wolf Gang, and Wang Jun even had his own private room there, Tianhe City was most likely an important base of operations for the gang. With something this serious having happened there, Duan Tianlang would probably show up to handle the aftermath.

Of course, to be safe, Lin Feng called Li Haidong.

"Who is it?" Li Haidong's voice was slightly guarded.

"It's Lin Feng."

"Ah, Boss, you're still not resting this late?"

"I want to ask — where is Duan Tianlang most likely to be right now?" Lin Feng had no time for pleasantries with Li Haidong. As for Li Haidong calling him "Boss," he could only let it be.

"You want to find Duan Tianlang?" Li Haidong was shocked.

But Li Haidong was also a sharp man. He quickly understood — Lin Feng and the Heavenly Wolf Gang were already locked in a fight to the death. Rather than taking beatings on the back foot, it was better to strike first.

"Boss, if Duan Tianlang isn't out of town, he usually sleeps at his mistress's place. But given what happened at Tianhe City tonight, I'd guess he'd be there." Li Haidong paused, then asked carefully, "Boss, are you planning to go to Tianhe City to find Duan Tianlang?"

"Is there a problem?"

"Boss, even though you've got your divine skill protecting you and blades can't harm you — Tianhe City is sure to be heavily guarded tonight. And besides, Duan Tianlang trained at Shaolin Temple for a few years."

By now, Lin Feng had fully mastered the Iron Shirt technique, and had also learned the first level of the Bull-Tiger Prajna Skill, gaining the Strength of One Bull. He was feeling quite confident in his own abilities.

But there is always someone stronger. There is always a higher mountain.

Take Bai Xuewu, for example — Lin Feng was almost certain that his Iron Shirt defense would be utterly meaningless against her breathtaking single sword strike.

Hearing that Duan Tianlang knew martial arts, Lin Feng naturally had to proceed with caution.

Just as Lin Feng was mulling over his next move, Li Haidong continued, "Boss, where are you? I'll come to you."

Lin Feng gave him an address, and about twenty minutes later, Li Haidong arrived.

Li Haidong drove over in a van. After picking Lin Feng up, he drove him to Tianhe City Foot Spa and parked the van in an inconspicuous corner across the street.

"See that? Duan Tianlang's car." Li Haidong pointed to a black Camry parked in front of Tianhe City. "He's still inside sorting things out. When Duan Tianlang comes out, we'll tail him."

The two waited in the van for about ten minutes before Duan Tianlang emerged.

Duan Tianlang was in his forties — tall and imposing, dressed in a suit and leather shoes, though his expression was dark and gloomy. Beside him was a woman in her thirties. She wasn't a stunning beauty by any means, only average to above-average in looks, but she had a good figure and clearly knew how to dress to show off her best features.

"Duan Tianlang's out. That woman is his mistress. Looks like he's heading to her place for the night. Boss, should we intercept him?" Li Haidong's voice carried a hint of hesitation. Duan Tianlang was a trained fighter and the boss of the Heavenly Wolf Gang, which stirred an instinctive sense of dread in Li Haidong, a former gang member. "I've heard Duan Tianlang once took on six men by himself at a construction site."

Lin Feng figured that never mind six men — with his current strength, he could probably take on ten ordinary people bare-handed without a problem.

Besides, if he couldn't even seize the chance when Duan Tianlang was alone, what was the point of talking about wiping out the Heavenly Wolf Gang?

Getting Lin Feng's affirmative reply, Li Haidong started the van and sped through the streets with no regard for traffic signals. Fifteen minutes later, he parked the van diagonally across the exit of a narrow alley.

Lin Feng didn't need to ask — this alley was obviously on Duan Tianlang's route.

Lin Feng glanced at Li Haidong with a look of quiet surprise. Li Haidong was just an ordinary member of the Heavenly Wolf Gang, and yet he not only knew Duan Tianlang's mistress, but was intimately familiar with Duan Tianlang's daily habits — even down to which alley he'd take on his way to a particular mistress's home. Calling it all a coincidence was simply too much of a stretch. He must have done a great deal of preparation over the past few days, likely waiting for the right moment to strike a fatal blow against Duan Tianlang.

This Li Haidong was no simple man — he'd had his moments of glory, his moments of pride, his moments of triumph. He'd done time in prison, time in hospital, time on his knees.

Though Li Haidong was a gangster, he had his own moral bottom line. He had served Duan Tianlang loyally, yet Duan Tianlang had never treated him like a human being. That was what had made him determined to bring Duan Tianlang down.

Lin Feng believed that even without his own involvement, as long as Li Haidong found the right opportunity, he would do something that would leave Duan Tianlang stunned.

After blocking the alley's exit, Lin Feng and Li Haidong positioned themselves at its entrance.

Although Li Haidong had driven fast, he'd taken a longer route, so five minutes later, Duan Tianlang's Camry turned into the alley.

Duan Tianlang lived life on the knife's edge and had many enemies, so his vigilance was high. After driving into the alley, he noticed the van blocking the exit and immediately threw the car into reverse, intending to back out. But moments later, in his rearview mirror, he saw someone prying off a sewer cover.

With that, Duan Tianlang was trapped — driving forward meant crashing into the van, and reversing meant falling into the open sewer. There was no driving away.

A chill settled in Duan Tianlang's heart. If this was a hit from an enemy, then they had clearly come prepared. Tonight, things were looking grim.

But soon, Duan Tianlang relaxed.

He recognized Li Haidong.

If it was Li Haidong, then it wasn't a rival gang coming after him. As for the young man beside Li Haidong, Duan Tianlang could make a pretty good guess.

Last night, when Lin Feng had gone to Tianhe City, Li Haidong had also been there.

Li Haidong was not someone Duan Tianlang took seriously.

And as for Lin Feng, Duan Tianlang wasn't particularly afraid of him either.

Duan Tianlang had spent five years training at Shaolin Temple. After entering society, he had never set aside his martial arts practice due to the nature of his work. Over the years he had fought through countless battles, accumulating rich combat experience and developing a ruthless, battle-hardened mindset. He was confident that even the master who had taught him at Shaolin Temple would be no match for him now.

Combat isn't just about skill — it's about viciousness!

Duan Tianlang believed he was more vicious than his master.

He had already heard all about what happened last night. Wang Jun had broken one leg in the fall, and even after treatment, he would likely be left with a permanent disability — there was no chance of him ever being as lively as before.

The incident had enraged the district police chief, Wang Zhengjun, who had called Duan Tianlang at the time demanding that Lin Feng be made to suffer a fate worse than death.

The south district's various criminal factions were tangled and complex, and Duan Tianlang survived by relying on Wang Zhengjun. Wang Zhengjun's words were as good as a holy decree to him. He had already decided what to do.

First, capture Tian Mengqian and make her serve Wang Jun as company, to soothe his wounded body and spirit. Then beat up Lin Feng's parents so that Lin Feng could taste the bitterness of dragging his family into harm's way. Finally, capture Lin Feng, find an AIDS patient to shatter Lin Feng's virgin body, destroy his capacity for revenge, and leave him to die slowly in agony.

Since Lin Feng had delivered himself to his doorstep, he might as well seize him first!

Shaolin also had its own Virgin Kung Fu techniques, so Duan Tianlang had some knowledge of them. Although Lin Feng had Virgin Kung Fu protecting him, the fact that he could still be injured proved that his Virgin Kung Fu was far from impressive — it was probably still at the entry level. He was confident that with his own explosive power, he could break through Lin Feng's Virgin Kung Fu entirely.

Having assessed the situation, Duan Tianlang got out of the car with a smile on his face and walked toward Lin Feng and Li Haidong.

When he was still about ten meters away, Duan Tianlang stopped, glanced at Li Haidong, and said, "Do you know what happens to people who betray me?"

Li Haidong ignored Duan Tianlang and said to Lin Feng instead, "Boss, leave the woman in the car to me."

Seeing that Li Haidong had thrown caution to the wind, Duan Tianlang dropped the gang boss act and decisively turned his full attention to Lin Feng. "Not bad — a hero rises from the young!"

Lin Feng had no patience for pleasantries. He was alone, while Duan Tianlang had subordinates. If this dragged on and Duan Tianlang's men arrived, the interception would lose all purpose.

Lin Feng stayed on guard and stepped forward, closing in on Duan Tianlang one step at a time.

Duan Tianlang let out a cold sneer. "Kid, let me warn you — don't overestimate your entry-level Virgin Kung Fu."

Only Lin Feng knew that what he possessed was the Iron Shirt, not Virgin Kung Fu.

Roughly speaking, mastering the upper half of the Iron Shirt was about equivalent to entry-level Virgin Kung Fu — but he had fully completed the Iron Shirt, so his defensive capability was certainly beyond mere entry-level.

This, of course, was not something Lin Feng intended to share with Duan Tianlang.

Seeing Lin Feng advancing step by step, Duan Tianlang's expression darkened. When Lin Feng was only two or three meters away, Duan Tianlang's pupils suddenly contracted. He surged forward in an explosive burst and drove a kick straight into Lin Feng's abdomen.

Lin Feng's plan was to take that kick head-on and use the opportunity to grab hold of Duan Tianlang. Once Duan Tianlang was firmly in Lin Feng's grasp, the Strength of One Bull would be no joke.

But Duan Tianlang's explosive power was terrifying. That single kick sent Lin Feng flying more than three meters back. Without the Iron Shirt protecting him, the consequences would have been unthinkable.

In fact, Lin Feng suspected that if he had only mastered the upper half of the Iron Shirt, that kick alone might have been enough to put him in serious trouble.

Seeing that his kick had sent Lin Feng flying far back, Duan Tianlang assumed the fight was over. He smiled with satisfaction and was just about to speak — when his expression shifted slightly.

Because Lin Feng had already gotten back to his feet, looking as though nothing had happened at all.

"Let's see how long you can keep this up!"

Duan Tianlang let out a cold grunt and charged at Lin Feng. When he reached him, he leaped into the air and launched a flying kick squarely into Lin Feng's chest.

Lin Feng made no attempt to dodge or evade, instead reaching out to grab Duan Tianlang's leg.

Though Lin Feng managed to grab hold of the leg, the explosive force behind Duan Tianlang's kick was too great — Lin Feng was sent tumbling backward again, losing his grip on the leg and coming away with nothing but one of Duan Tianlang's leather shoes.

That was a crushing blow right to the chest.

Lin Feng's chest felt stifled. He lay face-down on the ground, motionless.

Duan Tianlang dusted off his hands and reached into his pocket for his phone, ready to call a few of his men to come take Lin Feng away.

But at that very moment, Duan Tianlang's expression shifted again.

For Lin Feng had been lying on the ground for a moment — and after catching his breath, he stood right back up. Other than being a bit dirty, he looked as though absolutely nothing had happened.
