Chapter 011: The Perfect Answer Sheet

Chapter 011: The Perfect Answer Sheet

Wang Jun's face turned somewhat pale as he glared fiercely at Bai Yichen's retreating back.

His anger absolutely wasn't because of Lin Feng. He knew Bai Yichen was just using Lin Feng as a shield. He had also read the love letter Lin Feng wrote to Bai Yichen—the content could only be described as laughable.

He was angry because of the unwillingness born from Bai Yichen's refusal to appreciate his advances. He felt that in Qinglan Middle School, aside from himself, there was probably no one else worthy of Bai Yichen.

Besides, although Bai Yichen was outstanding, was he himself any worse in terms of looks, grades, or family background?

Taking a deep breath to calm his angry emotions, he turned to glance at Lin Feng and said indifferently, "Starting today, you don't need to come to school anymore."

"Why?" Lin Feng raised an eyebrow.

"Because I find you displeasing. Is that reason enough?" Wang Jun had been pursuing Bai Yichen for over two years. He originally thought it would take a month at most, but unexpectedly there still hadn't been any progress. He had been holding back his anger for a long time. However, he didn't dare vent it on Bai Yichen, so Lin Feng became the scapegoat.

Just because he found him displeasing, he had to stop coming to class?

Facing a potential rival, Lin Feng naturally wouldn't show any courtesy. The corner of his mouth curved into a defiant arc as he said, "I find you displeasing too. Get lost."

Wang Jun's expression changed as he said in a low voice, "Your name is Lin Feng, right?"

Lin Feng didn't answer. He grabbed Tian Mengqian's hand and walked away.

As Tian Mengqian walked away, she turned to glance at Wang Jun, which allowed him to see her face clearly. He froze for a moment, a trace of greed flashing in his eyes.

After Lin Feng left, a chubby student with dyed yellow hair came before Wang Jun, wearing an ingratiating smile on his face. "Young Master Jun."

This fatty was none other than Tian Mengqian's pursuer, Zhang Kaiwei.

Wang Jun nodded, looking at Tian Mengqian's retreating figure. "Do you know that girl?"

Zhang Kaiwei's expression showed some hesitation, but he quickly said, "I know her. That girl is called Tian Mengqian. She's also from Class 3-1, but she and Lin Feng have a very good relationship."

"Is that so?" Wang Jun's tone revealed a hint of disdain.

"Young Master Jun, you shouldn't underestimate that Lin Feng. He's tough, not afraid of being beaten, and very good at fighting. Because of some grudges, I got Skinny to teach him a lesson, but he single-handedly took on all three of us—Skinny and me."

"You're talking about Skinny from the technical school?"

"Yes, that's him."

Wang Jun snorted coldly. "I know Skinny. He has some guts, otherwise Li Haidong wouldn't have taken notice of him. I didn't expect this kid to be a tough nut to crack."

Zhang Kaiwei was greatly shocked. "Young Master Jun, you even know Brother Dong, Li Haidong?"

Wang Jun smiled without confirming or denying.

"Can you get Brother Dong to make a move?" Zhang Kaiwei's expression became somewhat excited. Having failed to get back at Lin Feng, he had been harboring resentment. "That would be great! If Brother Dong makes a move, Lin Feng is done for!"

In the afternoon, Thunder Tiger walked into the office with his belly protruding, his face glowing with satisfaction.

Thinking that starting tomorrow he wouldn't have to see Lin Feng anymore, and that from now on his class's overall strength would achieve a qualitative leap, Thunder Tiger felt exceptionally carefree and pleased.

Inside the office, the math teachers were excitedly discussing something, as if a student had achieved an unbelievably high score.

Could it be that someone passed?

Thunder Tiger found it hard to believe. As the head of the math department, he had considerable expertise in mathematics and felt that passing an exam of this difficulty was unlikely.

"Did someone pass?" Thunder Tiger asked.

"Yes, Teacher Lei. The papers are almost all graded. Only Bai Yichen passed, and not only did he pass, he scored a high score of 121 points. Look at this paper!" Bai Yichen's math teacher stood up excitedly, pointing at the paper before him. "If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I could hardly believe that Bai Yichen's mathematics has reached this level."

Thunder Tiger was greatly shocked and quickly picked up the paper to examine it carefully.

All the answered questions were completely correct. Although some solutions were somewhat tedious in their steps, they ultimately arrived at the correct answers.

"All the completed problems are correct. The last few questions weren't done, probably because there wasn't enough time. If there had been sufficient time, Bai Yichen could probably have scored full marks." Bai Yichen's math teacher said with no small amount of pride.

"Not necessarily. The last few questions are even harder." Another math teacher questioned sourly.

"What's impossible about it? When has Bai Yichen not scored full marks on any test? Previous math papers simply couldn't measure Bai Yichen's true level." Bai Yichen's math teacher also knew the last few questions were more difficult, and even with time, Bai Yichen might not get full marks, but there was no harm in arguing the point.

Bang!

Just then, a math teacher who was grading papers suddenly slammed the desk and stood up, crying out, "Full marks! Full marks! My God, someone actually scored full marks!"

Impossible!

This was the instinctive judgment in all the other math teachers' minds.

Qinglan Middle School had many excellent students, but Bai Yichen still stood out from the rest. That Bai Yichen could score 121 points was already shocking enough—who could possibly get full marks?

"It's true. Lin Feng from Class 3-1, full marks." Seeing that the others didn't believe him, the grading teacher quickly said, "Look for yourselves. It's truly incredible, especially the problem-solving approaches for the application problems and geometry problems. He's applied the mathematical knowledge he's learned to a state of mastery perfected."

"Lin Feng?" Thunder Tiger asked.

"Yes, Teacher Lei. He's a student from your class. I really couldn't tell!" the grading teacher sighed.

Aside from the grading teacher, all the other teachers looked at Thunder Tiger with knowing expressions, clearly believing that Lin Feng had cheated.

Thunder Tiger's face reddened slightly. No matter who it was, scoring full marks was impossible, and Lin Feng even more so. There was only one possibility for this situation—Lin Feng had gotten hold of the answers!

Regardless of how Lin Feng obtained the answers, on such a difficult exam, deliberately copying to get full marks was clearly telling everyone that he had taught an excellent student.

He didn't expect that before being swept out the door, Lin Feng would still not forget to embarrass him!

Thunder Tiger rushed forward in a few steps, grabbed Lin Feng's paper, and without even looking at it, crumpled it into a ball and tossed it into the nearby trash can, then left the office with a dark expression.

The grading teacher hesitated, but still went to the trash can to retrieve Lin Feng's paper, looking thoughtful.

In the afternoon.

During Bai Yichen's class's math period, the math teacher walked into the classroom carrying the morning test papers, his expression somewhat strange.

The students in the class immediately quieted down. Many students still wore playful expressions, as if watching a show. Everyone had felt the difficulty of this exam. This time they weren't expecting to learn what high scores they got, but rather wanted to know just how outrageously low everyone's scores would be.

"The scores from this morning's test are out. I'll read them now. For students who didn't pass, I won't read your scores. Bai Yichen, 121 points." After reading this, the math teacher fell silent. The students waited for a long time before the math teacher continued unhurriedly, "This test was extremely difficult, even exceeding ordinary competition papers. In the entire grade, only Bai Yichen passed. Everyone shouldn't take it to heart."
