Chapter 3: Ice Beauty and Little Loli

Chapter 3: Ice Beauty and Little Loli

“Hey!

Did you hear me?

Why are you spacing out?

Why are you ignoring me? That’s so rude!”

A sweet, childish voice snapped Yang Ning out of his daze. He quickly looked up, and his eyes couldn’t help but light up.

Standing before him were two beauties. One of them appeared to be in her early twenties, standing at nearly five foot eight, with a pair of long, shapely legs that stood out prominently.

She wore loose casual clothes, but they couldn’t hide her stunning figure. The faint outline of her exquisite curves hinted at a breathtaking allure that sparked endless fantasies.

Moving his gaze upward, when Yang Ning saw her face, he felt a bit dazed. This woman was beautiful—stunningly so! Especially with that icy, unapproachable aura she exuded, she was the epitome of a cold, aloof goddess!

Yang Ning couldn’t help but wonder why such a gorgeous woman would show up in a rough, mixed place like this, and why she’d come straight to his stall.

As for the other one, she could only be described as a loli. Standing around four foot eleven, she had an innocent, youthful air about her.

It was clear that this little loli was a budding beauty. Give her a few more years of growth, and she wouldn’t be any less striking than the woman beside her. She’d definitely be a disaster-level beauty.

Yang Ning couldn’t help but let his imagination run wild. If he could take this little loli home and slowly mold her—today dressing her as a nurse, tomorrow as a maid, and the day after as an anime character—it’d be absolutely thrilling!

Holy shit!

That’s too wicked! Stop right there!

Amitabha, lust is emptiness, emptiness is lust.

Yang Ning absolutely refused to admit he had a thing for lolis!

“Little miss, do you need something from me?” Yang Ning grinned at the little loli.

Already annoyed that Yang Ning had ignored her, and now being called ‘little miss,’ the loli was fuming. She glared at him and snapped, “I’m almost in middle school! How am I little?”

Yang Ning rubbed his chin, unabashedly scanning the loli up and down, lingering on certain areas for quite a while before saying seriously, “You’re little everywhere.”

“Pervert! Jerk!” The loli’s neck turned red with anger as she shouted, “Sis, he’s bullying me!”

“Tongtong, don’t make a fuss.”

The ice beauty rarely showed a smile as she patted the loli’s head. Then, turning to Yang Ning, her expression returned to its frosty norm. “Hand it over.”

“Hand what over?” Yang Ning blinked, confused.

“That yellow thumb ring.” A trace of impatience flickered across the ice beauty’s lovely face.

“You want it?” Yang Ning tilted his head, openly sizing up the woman. The two words he uttered carried a hint of double meaning.

“I just want to take a look.” The ice beauty’s delicate brows furrowed, a subtle disdain flashing in her beautiful eyes.

Yang Ning’s suggestive gaze, paired with his slick tone, made the ice beauty catch the underlying implication. Add to that how he’d just teased the little loli, and she immediately pegged him as a rogue.

If Yang Ning knew what the ice beauty was thinking, he’d probably yell at the top of his lungs, “Damn it, I’m more wronged than Job!!”

He was just wondering how this beauty knew he had the thumb ring on him.

Moreover, there was a hint of hesitation on her face. She likely hadn’t seen the Amber Thumb Ring before, so why did she seem so interested?

Could it be that she’d noticed something fishy during his transaction with Old Zhou?

Yang Ning wasn’t dumb. On the contrary, he was quite sharp. After a moment of thought, he pieced together most of the puzzle.

Blaming himself for being careless, Yang Ning grinned and said, “Beauty, you want to see it? If you want to see it, just say so. How would I know if you don’t tell me?”

Before the ice beauty could respond, Yang Ning continued, “Even though you’re looking at me with such sincerity, you still have to tell me you want to see it. Do you really want to see it? Then take it! Or do you not really want to see it? Wait, do you actually want to see it?”

The ice beauty’s brows shot up in anger. Seeing Yang Ning’s smug, cheeky expression, she suddenly felt an urge to strangle him.

“Hehehe… hahaha…” The little loli beside her burst into laughter, clutching her stomach as she trembled with giggles.

“Just kidding, don’t get mad. Here, take it!” The fleeting cold glint in the ice beauty’s eyes made Yang Ning shiver involuntarily.

Yang Ning wasn’t worried about losing the thumb ring. If the older one dared to take it and run, he’d just grab the younger one and take her home for some loli-raising fun.

The ice beauty’s slender, jade-like fingers toyed with the thumb ring, a trace of suspicion on her face. Her peripheral vision unintentionally caught Yang Ning staring at her curves with gleaming eyes.

“Have you seen enough?” The ice beauty’s pretty face flushed slightly as she shot Yang Ning a hostile glare.

Yang Ning gave an awkward chuckle, whistling as he looked up at the sky, pretending to be completely focused elsewhere.

“Big pervert!” The little loli sneered, clearly still holding a grudge.

“You’re calling me a big pervert?” Yang Ning looked at the little loli and suddenly let out a creepy laugh. “Little girl, ever heard of a child bride?”

“What are you trying to do?” The little loli cautiously stepped back.

Yang Ning smirked sinisterly. “Heh heh, little brat, believe it or not, I’ll carry you home and make you serve tea, pour water, wash clothes, and cook every day!”

“Mommy! The wolf is coming!” The little loli, like a startled rabbit, jumped high and bolted off in a flash, disappearing from sight.

Yang Ning scoffed and pursed his lips. “So timid yet dares to sass me. Can’t even take a scare.”

The ice beauty ignored the banter between Yang Ning and the little loli, her gaze fixed thoughtfully on the thumb ring.

Just as Yang Ning suspected, she had not only witnessed his transaction with Old Zhou but also sensed something off about it.

Her name was Lin Manxuan, a woman with an exceptionally high IQ. If Yang Ning knew she’d earned a PhD in psychology at the age of twenty, he’d probably curse her as a freak!

Earlier, she’d noticed Yang Ning’s unusual behavior. Though he hid it well, his emotional fluctuations were significant, and all his attention was focused on this thumb ring.

These actions indirectly confirmed one thing: there was more to this thumb ring than met the eye!

Of course, what truly solidified her suspicion was how, after taking over the stall, Yang Ning ignored everything else and immediately pocketed the thumb ring, his face showing unmasked excitement and thrill.

Holding the Amber Thumb Ring, Lin Manxuan gave Yang Ning a deep, meaningful look and said calmly, “This thumb ring is nice. I’ll buy it.”

“Not for sale!” Yang Ning shook his head.

Lin Manxuan was taken aback, clearly not expecting such a blunt refusal.

Still, she believed that as long as it was a transaction item, there’d always be a price—it just depended on whether she could offer a tempting enough deal.

The problem was, Lin Manxuan had no idea what this chicken-fat-yellow thumb ring was or how much it was worth.

Toying with the thumb ring, Lin Manxuan mused, “Ten thousand.”

Seeing Yang Ning’s lazy, unresponsive demeanor, Lin Manxuan continued, “Twenty thousand.”

“Thirty thousand.”

“…”

“Fifty thousand!”

“…”

“Eighty thousand!”

“…”

Lin Manxuan’s icy face now showed traces of anger as she gritted her teeth. “One hundred thousand!”

Yang Ning remained unmoved. Losing her patience completely, Lin Manxuan said coldly, “One hundred thousand is plenty. Don’t push your luck!”

Facing her sharp tone, Yang Ning didn’t get upset. He stretched lazily and gave Lin Manxuan a strange look. “You haven’t figured out the origins of this thumb ring, have you?”
